Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
The Compound (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates compoundprotocol.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit the site, how we use it, and your choices around it.
Information we collect
Information you provide
If you submit your email address through our newsletter form, we collect that address and store it with our email service provider (MailerLite). We use it only to send the content you signed up for and occasional updates about new guides. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we collect basic analytics data when you visit: pages viewed, time on site, general location (country/region), browser type, and referring URL. We use Google Analytics 4 for this. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish visitors and track sessions. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
We also log affiliate link clicks for commission tracking purposes. When you click a link to an affiliate partner, we record the partner name, timestamp, and the page you clicked from. We do not collect your identity in connection with these clicks.
Cookies
We use cookies for analytics (Google Analytics) and to remember basic session state. We do not use advertising cookies or sell cookie data to third parties. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; note that this may affect analytics tracking but will not impact your ability to use the site.
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services that may collect data under their own privacy policies:
- Google Analytics— website analytics. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
- MailerLite — email list management. See mailerlite.com/privacy-policy.
- Vercel — website hosting. See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
When you click an affiliate link and visit a partner's site, that site's own privacy policy governs any data they collect. We have no control over and no access to data collected by affiliate partners.
How we use your information
- To send email content you requested (newsletter subscribers only)
- To understand how people use the site and improve our content
- To track affiliate commissions for business accounting
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties except the service providers listed above, who process it on our behalf.
Data retention
Email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics defaults (up to 14 months). Affiliate click logs are retained for up to 12 months for accounting purposes.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. If you're an email subscriber, you can update or remove your data by unsubscribing or emailing us directly. For other requests, contact us at hello@compoundprotocol.com and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area or California, additional rights may apply to you under GDPR or CCPA respectively. We do not engage in the sale of personal information as defined under CCPA. For GDPR requests, contact us at the email below.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top reflects when changes were last made. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
